"For most of us, sexual fantasies and behaviors are one of many pathways to enjoyment, play and intimate connection.  However, sexual addicts use these activities compulsively, finding over time that they've lost control and must deal with negative life consequences as a result.  Their belief systems, their self-esteem, and their relationships suffer, all thanks to their addiction."  (p. 217)

Justin Sunseri, LMFT, does not believe that anyone is broken.  The individual might believe that they are, but he simply doesn’t join that belief.  He understands that life can and will improve.  Everyone is capable of doing so. The issue here is being stuck – stuck in a defensive autonomic state: flight, fight, shut down or freeze.  The person is stuck, not broken.  There is hope. Listen to Justin’s podcasts.
