What impact has trauma
had on your life?
How can Somatic
Experiencing help?
What steps
can I take?
Trauma originates as a response in the nervous system, and does not originate in an event.  Trauma is in the nervous system, not in the event.

What is trauma?

  • Too much, too soon, too fast
  • Too much for too long
  • Not enough for too long (neglect)

Trauma results from from overwhelm to the system resulting to nervous system dysregulation.

Documentary: The Light

The Light is a documentary following two people using two different somatic therapies, EMDR, and transformational bodywork, to overcome their past traumas.
IF I COULD BUILD A BILLBOARD FOR TRAUMA SURVIVORS IT WOULD SAY IN BOLD LETTERS:  YOU ARE NOT CRAZY!  UNDER THAT, I MIGHT ADD, YOU CAN HEAL!  YOUR BODY KNOWS HOW TO HEAL.
